"NOTHING IN SCIENCE HAS ANY VALUE, IF IT IS NOT COMMUNICATED"

Why

Science Communication?

Communication is an essential part of daily scientific life. Research goals are mostly achieved by teams and in collaborations. Results are shared among peers, decision makers and the public every day. And the contents conveyed become more and more complex.

Good communication skills are hence key to a sucessfull scientific career. Having the skills to communicate the own research clearly and comprehensible enables fruitfull teamwork and collaborations, betters the chances to accquire funding and is key to receiving job offers.

Beyond peer-to-peer exchange, communication with the public gained importance in recent years. Science is a cornerstone of our society. The public has an increasing interest in findings from basic research, going far beyond the major scientific breakthroughs.

As scientists, we are at the forefront of development and innovation, and have an undeniable obligation to pass on our knowledge gain to others. Also scientists can guide society and teach unbiased, evidence-based decision making. In a world steeped in science and its products, these skills are increasingly important.

You want to improve your skills or the skills of your team in the field of science communication? I am happy to support you with customized trainings in the areas of stage presentation, writing for the public and video in science communication.

Boost your career

Outstanding communication skills characterize most successful scientists. Whether with peer researchers or speaking in public, whether in the lab or at a huge conference: Your capabilities are often measured dependent on how well you can communicate them.

Learn to communicate your research topics clearly and comprehensibly to different target groups.

Become visible

The public is interested in real people rather than institutions. For universities to shine it is therefore important to make their scientists visible.

It is the individual scientist that has the power to excite, convince and transport knowledge into society. This personal, process-oriented communication in turn has a positive effect on the perception of the home institution.

Equip your scientists with the skills needed for good science communication.

Workshops for Academia

Convince your peers

Industry not only supplies academic research with material and devices, but also contributes to the scientific progress by research and development. Nontheless, Product- and Marketing Managers who attend scientific conferences, symposia or are visiting research institutes are often perceived as salespeople and frequently have a hard time convincing their peers. This makes target group-oriented communication at eye level all the more important.

This hurdle is can be overcome by a good communication strategy and professional communication skills.

Enable your team to better communicate and reach your goals.
